Massage Therapist Contractor (January 2019)

TC Fit is seeking a massage therapist to offer table massage services in Golden Valley (corporate clients) and St. Louis Park (rehab and corporate clients). Scheduling starts at two days per week, three to five hours per shift, Monday-Friday; with options to extend hours. TC Fit offers flexible schedules and competitive pay for professional, dependable, dedicated massage therapists. Onsite massage therapists can expect organized work environments with the table and supplies provided onsite, a set schedule with accommodations/flexibility to meet your needs, plus elective opportunities for expanded hours or locations. Massage Therapist Qualifications

  • 500+ training hours from an accredited institution
  • Experience in Swedish and deep tissue techniques required
  • Experience in additional modalities may be considered incorporated into service menus
  • Currently holding or willing to obtain professional licensing as required in the cities of practice
  • Qualified applicants must carry professional liability insurance
  • Board certification preferred, but not required
  • An applicant’s prior experience should demonstrate a history of providing exceptional client-focused massage therapy services, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Candidates may be required to pass a state drug screen and a back-ground check prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Provide 20, 50 and 60-minute customized table massage services.
  • Ensure that workroom and facility is cleaned after each treatment and at the end of each shift.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience from walk-in to check-out.
  • Work collaboratively with wellness team.

 

Employment:

TC Fit hires full and part-time fitness and wellness professionals.  An applicant’s prior experience should demonstrate a history of excellence providing client-focused, educational fitness programming.  Part time applicants should be working toward a health/wellness related degree. A four-year wellness related degree and current professional certification are preferred for full time employment.  TC Fit team members are expected to convey excitement in the workplace and competencies in the following areas:

  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Administering fitness assessments and evaluation
  • Leading fitness equipment instruction
  • Designing and implementing wellness programs and promotional materials
  • Participating successfully in teamwork
  • Demonstrating problem solving skills
  • Applying organizational skills and attention to detail

All applicants should hold a current CPR certification. Pass state drug screen and back ground check and adhere to the TC Fit no-compete contract. Group fitness instructors are required to maintain current professional certification.  National board certification preferred for massage therapist applicants.

TC Fit interns will be expected to demonstrate an eagerness to learn and perform as knowledgeable members of the team.  Participation in the daily activities of the fitness center is expected.  These activities include group fitness classes, fitness assessments, strength and cardio equipment orientations, scheduling, and presenting current fitness and health news to clientele.  Interns will also take part in the planning and implementation of incentive programs, monthly education materials, and corporate events.  Qualifications for successful candidates include:

  • Junior or Senior-year status in a health-and-fitness-related degree program
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs
  • Proficiency in fitness assessments and basic exercise program design
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Current certification in CPR and standard First Aid
